The Nintendo Wii is a 7th generation console. Its main feature is the Wii Remote, which is motion-sensitive. Currently, there are only 2 Guitar Hero games for the Wii: Guitar Hero III and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. Upcoming titles include Guitar Hero: World Tour and Guitar Hero: Metallica.
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock
The Wii version of Guitar Hero III has many exclusive features, since the Wii Remote must be inserted into the guitar controller to play. This enables such feedback as rumble when star power is activated, and the ability for the Wii Remote's internal speaker to play "screw-up" noises when notes are missed. If you activate star power by tilting the controller, it is much more responsive than other guitars due to the Wii Remote's more advanced accelerometer. The Wii version has online play like the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, but as far as Activision has said, downloadable content will not be available for Guitar Hero III. The Wii version was also $10 (USD) less then all other versions of the game at launch.
 Guitar Hero: World Tour
The Wii version of Guitar Hero: World Tour is set to have all the same features as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. The Wii Remote will still be inserted into the new guitar controller, and it will still provide the same feedback as in Guitar Hero III. Downloadable content will be available for the Wii at launch as well.
