Born Saul Hudson, Slash was the lead guitarist for hard rock bands Guns N' Roses, Slash's Snakepit, and is currently lead for Velvet Revolver. He is widely known for his signature top hat, sunglasses and long, curly hair.

Slash signed on to the franchise during Guitar Hero III. His signature 1959 model Gibson Les Paul also makes an appearance. He is the second boss in the game. You battle against him while playing in Shanker's Island (a Guitar Hero version of Alcatraz) on an original composition Slash wrote exclusively for Guitar Hero III. The song has since been released as part of the Boss Battles Track Pack for individual play outside of the Career mode.
