Multiplayer
Guitar Hero featured various methods of head to head multi player.
- Face-off
- Gives each player a different section of the song to play. Both players are free to choose their own difficulty. It is impossible to fail, as there is no rock meter. The highest score wins.
- Pro Face-off
- Each player plays the entire song. The players must be on the same difficulty. All other rules are the same as Face-off.
- Cooperative
- One player plays the guitar part of a song, and one player plays bass. In some songs, there are lead and rhythm guitar parts instead of guitar and bass. It is possible to fail in this mode, and there are no real "winners." The point of this mode is to pass the song.
Info: Published by RedOctane and developed by Harmonix Music Systems. It was first released for the PlayStation 2 in November 2006[1] and then for the Xbox 360 in April 2007. Xbox 360 had additional content not on the PS2 version. Player uses a guitar-shaped peripheral to simulate the playing of rock music as notes scroll towards the player. The game features more than 40 popular licensed songs.
